Conference Introduction
Biennial Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Conferences are international scientific events to monitor scientific researches and new industrial findings in energy and environment. In collaboration with the Iranian Association of chemical Engineers, the Persian Gulf University hosted OGPC 2018 on November 14. By bringing together academic elites and industrial experts of energy and environment fields, this conference aimed to promote and present industrial experiences, scientific researches and inventions, technology developments, sustainable developments, and knowledge exchange.

The necessity of the conference

Due to its special geographical location, Bushehr province has abundant oil and gas resources, and the establishment of facilities Extensive upstream oil, numerous gas refineries, diverse petrochemicals, downstream polymer units, potential Suitable for solar energy and large power plants so it is known as the heart and energy capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On the other hand, pollution and many environmental problems of air, water and soil has occurred due to the accumulation of units of industry in this geographical area, and it is necessary for the academic community to study its solutions and examine its aspects and dimensions.

Additionally, severe waste of energy in the industrial area of Bushehr province has fueled the lack of proper productivity and environmental problems. Since today the categories of environment and energy are examined and evaluated in an integrated management, the importance of holding scientific events in the fields of energy and environment is necessary.
