Conference Introduction
Biennial Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Conferences are international scientific events to monitor scientific researches and new industrial findings in upstream and downstream technologies of oil, energy, and environment. In collaboration with the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies of India, the Persian Gulf University hosted OGPC 2020 on December 28 for two days on a virtual platform. By bringing together academic elites and industrial experts of oil, energy and environment fields, this conference aimed to promote and present industrial experiences, scientific researches and inventions, technology developments, sustainable developments, and knowledge exchange.

Goals of the conference

The third Biennial International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical conference has been held in order to achieve the following goals in the general areas of upstream and downstream technologies of oil, energy and environment:

1.   Monitoring the latest scientific and industrial findings and achievements in upstream and downstream technologies of oil, energy, and environment fields.

2.   Gathering academic elites and industrial experts in the upstream and downstream technologies of oil, energy and environment fields with the aim of exchanging knowledge, developing and presenting special industrial experiences, researches and scientific inventions.

3.   Holding professional panels with the presence of industrial experts and academic elites in order to analyze the problems and provide solutions

4.   Strengthening the attitude of protecting the environment and sustainable development

5.   Development of university-industry interactions

6.   Strengthening the network of experts in the upstream and downstream technologies of oil, energy and environment in the energy capital of Iran

7.   Strengthening the effective relationship between Persian Gulf University and other universities and institutes with memorandums in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemical industries

8.   Strengthening academic communication and scientific networking with researchers from various universities around the world, including the countries in the Persian Gulf coastal area.

9.   Strengthening the network of academic and industrial relations with Iranian researchers and experts and graduates of the Persian Gulf University working in domestic and foreign universities and reputable international companies

10.   Introduction of the capacities of Bushehr province and Persian Gulf University in the field of eco-industrial tourism to other universities around the world
