The ninth refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex is almost self-sufficient in the manufacture of equipment and parts used in the refinery and is the largest processing facility in the SP Gas Field in the city of Asalouyeh, Bushehr Province, processing 11% of Iran’s gas and supplying 16% of the total South Pars output.

The refinery is one of the 14 in Asalouyeh processing natural gas drawn from the giant SP Gas Field shared between Iran and Qatar.

 

Jam Petrochemical Company, which is called JPC for short, as one of the largest olefin production units in the world, was one of the development projects of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company in 2000 in the Pars Petrochemical Special Zone in Assaluyeh, which is mainly for the production of olefins. And linear and heavy light polyethylenes have been established.

The Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) is located in the south of Iran, on the northern coastline of the Persian Gulf. This area was established in 1998 for the utilization of south Pars field oil and gas resources. This field is one of the largest gas resources in the world and contains about 6% of the total fossil fuels known.
